Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is a condition where one of the nerves (ulnar nerve), is compressed along a tunnel on the inner part of the elbow. A nerve is a cable-like structure within the body designed to conduct nerve impulses that relay information from one part of the body to another. These impulses help you feel sensations and move your muscles.
Hand therapy can help by assessing your hand and elbow to determine what is contributing to the symptoms. Focus will be to reduce symptoms with orthoses and neural mobilisation (nerve gliding exercise techniques) and advice on ways to care for your ulnar nerve at your elbow when engaging in daily activities.
